I know you've had enough of iPhone and iPod related news, but this article offers a fascinating insight into the complexity of globalization and how the iPod is really much more than the sum of its parts.

It doesnt really surprise me at all... the other day i read about this new book written by a woman who (along with her family) decided not to use anything made-in-china for one whole month... and it came as a shock to them that there is hardly anything sold in USA which doesnt have something coming from China/ Asia.

Tyler Cowen is your Eco Prof?

Radha, who is Tyler Cowen? I am talking about Hal Varian who wrote the article that Uma linked to. He also wrote my ECON textbook but wasn't my prof. He teaches at Berkley I think.

Uma, his textbook would have been more interesting if he included such fun real world examples. I used to hate reading the textbook 'cos it was so dry and I never understoof how to apply those concepts to anything. My mind even now falls alseep at the though of that book.
